Adult Immunizations and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Immunizations are an important consideration for older adults and their caregivers. Some adults have never been vaccinated for particular diseases. Some vaccines were not available in the past, and even if an older adult was vaccinated as a child, the immunization may fade over the years. Additionally, older adults become more susceptible to serious diseases as they age. In this video, the San Antonio Metropolitan Health Department provides the information older adults and their caregivers need about recommended vaccines.
